$80,592 (2015)

Over their lifetime, compared to products that do not meet EPEAT criteria, the 70 EPEAT registered electronics purchased by UCOR in Fiscal Year 2015 will result in environmental impact reductions including:

  • Reduce use of primary materials by 3,770 kg
  • Avoid the disposal of 32 kg of hazardous waste
  • Eliminate 24 kg of solid waste

Energy-Related Savings
EPEAT’s requirement that registered products meet the latest ENERGY STAR specifications means these products will consume less energy throughout their useful life, resulting in:

  • Savings of over 10,200 kWh of electricity—enough to power a U.S. home for one year
  • Avoidance of 13 kilograms of water pollutant emissions
  • Reduction of nearly 1.91 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions— equivalent to taking one average U.S. passenger cars off the road for a year
  • Energy cost savings of $1,116
