Performance, DOE is committed to managing its facilities in a manner that will promote a sustainable environment and protect the health and well being of its federal employees, contractors and subcontractors. Ninety-five percent (95%) of all products purchased for use on a DOE owned or controlled site shall have recycled and/or biobased content and/or be energy efficient. The basis for determining which products have sustainable alternatives is the EPA and Department of Agriculture lists of recycled and biobased content products and the FEMP list of energy efficient products. Any personal computers and imaging equipment (i.e., desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, copiers, televisions, multifunction, faxes) delivered hereunder shall meet Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool (EPEAT) standards. |
