The EPEAT Purchaser Recognition Awards celebrate excellence in the procurement of sustainable IT products. Any organization that specifies EPEAT in its procurement policies is eligible for these annual awards. Purchasers are not only recognized for having a written policy in place that requires EPEAT-registered products but also for the number of EPEAT product categories from which they have purchased. The GEC Catalyst Awards honor creative solutions that increase the sustainability of IT products as well as the use of IT products to enable sustainability. The 2016 Catalyst Awards recognized AMD and PuzzlePhone for their “innovations in resource reduction.” The 2015 Catalyst Award honored Dell Inc. for its use of closed-loop plastics to advance the principles of a “circular economy.”
